Vensmile K8, A Flexible Keyboard That Works As A Computer Too

I was confused when I first saw the new Vensmile K8. It looks like another flexible keyboard, and those have been around as a fun gimmick from novelty tech stores for years. The Vensmile K8 is a keyboard that is flexible and also doubles up as a Windows 10 computer.

As you can see from the image above the K8 mini PC keyboard is permanently attached to the PC hardware positioned on the right side. Priced at $200 the addition of the flexible keyboard may be a plus or negative depending on your requirements.

Vensmile K8 Specs:

The idea of a PC you can slip into your pocket isn’t exactly new. From Intel Compute Stick to the InFocus Kangaroo, there have been various attempts to deliver a portable computer that isn’t ‘just’ a smartphone. The problem with all of these is that, while portable, they require you to have a display, mouse, and keyboard wherever you connect. If there’s only a TV or monitor, you are out of luck.

Unless you happen to purchase this new Vensmile K8, which is a PC, keyboard, and mouse combo in one. Yes, mouse, because it shiny surface on the top of the box is actually a 10-point touch pad. That bulky box itself is, and as you might have guessed, is the PC. But do not judge it by its diminutive size. It packs an Intel Atom x5-Z8300, 4GB of RAM, and 64 GB of the storage expandable up to 32 GB more. There is HDMI out capable of 4K resolutions and even VGA out but only for 1080p. There is one USB 2.0 port and another USB 3.0 slot. Of course, there is Wi-Fi and Bluetooth inside as well.

Vensmile K8 Price:

The keyboard has rollable rubber keys and an attached box that mounts as a touchpad. There are a number of the flexible keyboards available in the market such as LG Rolly but the idea of keyboard computing can really take the tech enthusiast curious to just at least try it once. So if you are one of them, you can pre-order the Vensmile K8 keyboard. It’s available for pre-orders right now at $200 and will start shipping on October 24.
