TabletKiosk, one of the original Tablet PC providers for business, today announced the general availability of an 11.6-inch, compact and fully rugged, Windows® 8.1 Tablet PC. The new Ares TufTab (pronounced Air-Ease) T11X is rated IP65 for complete protection against dust and dirt, and enhanced protection from water. Additionally, the T11X also exceeds MIL-STD-810G to protect against drop, vibration, altitude and extreme temperature.
The Ares Tuftab T11X is an 11.6-inch tablet that weighs less than 3 lbs and is only 20mm thick*. It features a fourth generation Intel® Core™ i5 processor, a 10-finger multi-touch display with tempered and chemically strengthened glass, dual band 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and up to 7 hours of battery life. The battery is easily accessible and user-replaceable for even longer runtime and an increased product lifecycle.
For users who work outdoors, the Ares TufTab T11X can be configured with an ULTRA-BRITE™ high brightness, sunlight readable display rated at up to 800 nits. Besides being highly readable in sunlight, the outdoor screen can also accommodate a digitizer (pen) panel for utilizing Windows® digital inking features for superior handwriting recognition.
In addition, the Ares TufTab features a full ecosystem of accessories and data-acquisition modules for maximum usability and productivity. Modules include a magnetic stripe reader (MSR) reader, SmartCard reader, 4G/LTE Gobi5000 WWAN, GPS, 2D/1D Intermec Barcode scanner, and NFC+RFID Reader. Accessories include carrying strap, hand strap, vehicle power adapter, in-vehicle docking station and desktop docking station with added I/O and power pass-thru.
